Kissamos
Kissamos or Kastelli? The town belongs to both. Kastelli goes back to Venetian times and old people use it more. The younger generation feels in Kissamos at home and therefore now we do have the splitting names and confusion at traffic signs too.
This view you will see when you visit the monastery “living spring”, 1 or 2 kilometres uphill from Kissamos. Kissamos is located 6 km far away from Kaliviani and first help in case of any problem with broken electrical equipments, missing screws or any kind of tools. In Kissamos are some supermarkets, fruit sellers, some bakeries and - an underwear shop which shows sexy window displays.
